Summary
Skreppa Outdoor helps you explore trails and navigate outdoors. We do not sell personal data and we do not show third-party ads. Some features rely on external services (maps, subscriptions, and plant identification) to return results.
Data We Process
We process account details (email, name, username, and profile location), a device identifier used by Firebase, and your saved items, posts, comments, and submissions. If you enable location, we process GPS coordinates and route data to power maps, navigation, live sharing, and SOS alerts. If you choose to add photos or identify plants, we process images you capture or select.
How We Use Data
We use data to display maps and trails, calculate routes, enable live sharing and safety tools, keep your saved items and community activity in sync, and deliver subscription features.
Third-Party Services
We use Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Functions) to manage accounts and cloud data, Mapbox to render maps and tiles, Plant.id to identify plants from images, and RevenueCat/Apple StoreKit for subscriptions and purchases. These services receive only the data needed to provide their functionality.
Data Storage & Retention
Cloud data such as profiles, posts, comments, saved items, submissions, live sharing sessions, and SOS events are stored in Firebase. App preferences and cached data are stored on your device. You can delete local data by removing the app. To request deletion of cloud data, contact us.
Your Choices
You can control location, camera, and photo permissions in iOS Settings. Live sharing and SOS tools are optional. You can request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us.
